My name is James Starr. I live in Eastern NC with my beautiful wife and daughter. I grew up in Oklahoma, and since high school have lived in NY, FL, and now NC. I got started in the direct sales / network marketing industry in 2006. At the time I was in college and waiting tables at Olive Garden (getting people refills on soup and salad). I got started with a direct sales company and had a really rough start for a few months. But one night I attended a webinar with one of the top earners in my company, and what he shared blew my mind. I contacted him personally and paid him $97 for a small mentorship class. That is what changed my financial life. Within 60 days I had replaced my income waiting tables, and was able to quit my job and work at home full time. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. That experience opened my eyes to the possibilies of being my own boss and fulfilling the purpose that I have in life. That $97 investment I made into my marketing education is what enabled me to net over 62K over the coming months. I then went on to create a product with a partner that brought in over $21,000 in just the first 2 months of launch.
Since then, I have had some major ups and downs in this industry. But I didn’t quit. I continued to educate myself in the world of marketing and communication. I now am completely confident in the skills and resources that I have acquired. Getting educated in the world of internet marketing was one of the smartest decisions I ever made. If you will do the same, you will be able to close your eyes, pick an opportunity, and make money. I now have a strong desire to help people to change their financial future using the network marketing industry. In my opinion, this industry is one of the best vehicles for people to use in order to fulfill their dreams.
My desire to succeed in this industry really came out of a greater desire that lies in my pursuit of God. All my life, I believed in God. But while I was in college, I got touched by the fire of God and gave my life completely to Christ Jesus. I never knew about the reality of the presence of the Kingdom of God. I never knew that I could live the realms of the glory of God. As I began to pursue God with all that is within me, I started to see the acts and miracles of God. I began to see people with sicknesses and diseases healed by the power of the gospel. This is what drives me…to see the glory of God eradicate every effect of the curse over humanity. My initial start in the network marketing industry came out of a desire to make enough money to provide the ability to travel and preach the gospel all over the world.
