How A WordPress Blog Can Make You More Money In Network Marketing

Are you confused about the concept of blogging online? Do you understand what ‘WordPress’ is and how it can benefit you? In this post, I want to address some key points that will explain how blogging on a wordpress platform can help you make more money in network marketing.

There is a lot of training online about blogging, and it can definitely be overwhelming. I used to hate it when people talked about ‘marketing principles’ because I just wanted the information that would start making me money. But now that I understand the principles of marketing, I have been able to be creative with my marketing methods in order to stand out from the crowd and be different. When you understand the principles of marketing, then you know the right questions to ask. Many times, it then just becomes an issue of finding the right technology and tools to use in order to implement your strategies.

If you are serious about building your network marketing business online, then you will need a blog. There is no other platform you want to look other than WordPress. WordPress is an open source platform that will enable you to market anything and everything you could think of related to your business. When I talk about having a wordpress blog, I am not talking about using wordpress.com. I am talking about having a self hosted wordpress blog (hosted on your own domain). The reason that blogging is so effective is because the search engines love sites that consistently have new, updated, and relevant content. With a blog, you can write blog posts targeting different keywords or topics. Each of these blog posts are like a different website on the internet which can be crawled, indexed, and ranked in the search engines. If you do this right, your WordPress blog can be the center and the home of your entire internet business empire.

Let’s talk about the purpose of your online blog. There are many different blogging models on the internet but the one that I use is simple. I use my blog for the purpose of building my email list and selling stuff. Although this sounds simple, you would be amazed at how many people are trying to make money off of their blogs by selling advertisements (although some people are successful at this, you need hundreds of thousands of visitors a month to do this).

WordPress will enable you to do many things that you can’t do on other blogging platforms like blogger.com or tumblr.com. There are thousands of plugins that you can use that will enable you to get your content out to the market place. There is a huge compound effect that happens if you are consistent in blogging. Each of your blog posts will be indexed and have the potential to be ranked on the first page of Google (especially if you use the methods that we teach). If you are consistent at blogging and write 2 new blog posts per week, then that would mean that at the end of one year, you would have 104 individual posts out in the search engines bringing you traffic. The more posts that you write, the more traffic you get.

With a WordPress blog, you could blog about anything related to your business. You can write reviews on other companies, products, or trainers. You could give free training, resources, and tools away on your blog. All of these things could drive traffic into your marketing funnel (don’t have one? click here). There are some top wordpress plugins that can automatically syndicate your content to other web 2.0 properties in order to multiply the effect of each of your blog posts.

So to recap, the main reasons you want to have a wordpress blog if you are in network marketing is to build an email list and to sell stuff. Your blog will be the place that you will tell people about yourself, recruit into your MLM business, and drive massive amounts of traffic into your marketing funnels.
