How To Market Your Network Marketing Company Online (The Big Picture)

One of the most frustrating things about marketing your network marketing company online is information overload.  There are so many tools, systems, products, and trainings that most newbies don’t have a clue where to begin.  I remember when I first began marketing online, I had no idea what I was doing.  I got so lost in the midst of all the courses and trainings that I didn’t even understand the big picture.  I want to help you just step outside of all of the marketing advertisements that you are being bombarded with, and see the big picture.  You need to understand the big picture as to why you are even marketing online.

There are many different models on the internet today.  I can’t speak for all of them, but I will share the model that I use.  If you are specifically looking for how to market your network marketing company online, then you are in the right place my friend.

1. Build a list – This is by far the most profitable thing you can do online.  If you are going to market online, then you need to build an email list.  The money is in the list.  You want a list that you can market to over time.  If you are going to build a list, then you need to have an automated sales funnel set up.   When you have an automated sales funnel that is set up and that converts, then all you have to do is focus on marketing strategies that drive traffic to your funnel.  In order to build a list you will need a squeeze page (preferably hosted on your own domain – I use Godaddy.com for domains and Hostgator.com for hosting).  You will also need an auto responder.  I personally use Aweber.  You will need something to sell after people have opted into your list.  This could be a presentation where you invite people to join you in your MLM company.  In the network marketing industry, marketing training and systems sell really well because that is what everyone is looking for.  The reason that network marketers turn to the internet is because they need more leads.  So offer a solution that they are looking for (here’s the simple system that I use).
2.  Traffic – Once you have your automated sales funnel set up (including squeeze page, auto responder, and stuff to sell on the backend) you will need to drive traffic to your squeeze page.  One of the best ways to do this is with content creation and a WordPress blog.  The advantage to having a WordPress blog is that you can write as many individual posts as you want.  With a WordPress blog, each post is almost like a different website.  If you wrote 90 blog posts in 90 days, you could potentially have 90 different pages ranking for 90 different keywords on Google.  With a WordPress blog, you have a unique advantage as your traffic will grow and exponentially increase over time if you stay consistent.  Google also loves blogs because of the frequently updated content.  You can write about things that are related to what you are offering / selling in your sales funnel, and then link to your initial squeeze page from your blog content.
3. Getting Your Content Ranked On Google – In order to get your content ranked on the 1^st page of Google, the main thing you want to focus on is backlinks.  The person with the most backlinks wins.  This means you want to have other websites pointing back to your content with a link.  Examples of this include:  youtube videos with a link in the description pointing back to your site, articles in article directories pointing back to your site, podcasts pointing back to you, etc.

Now that you understand the big picture of how to market your network marketing company online, you can start asking the right questions.  We don’t have what we want sometimes because we don’t know how to ask the right questions.  Once you understand the principles behind a successful internet business, you can start asking how to actually implement the strategies that will get things flowing for you.  One example is this:  now that you know that articles with a link pointing back to your content can help get you ranked in Google, you can now search for ways to get a lot of articles mass distributed to multiple article directories with links back to you.  One of the answers is with article submitter software.  I hope this post has helped you stand back and see the overall picture with how you choose to market your network marketing company online.
