Why is it so hard to find a good list of the top wordpress plugins for network marketers? After spending about a month looking through Google for the top plugins to use on my wordpress blog, I finally compiled a list that will save you hours of time (seriously, finding this info shouldn’t be that hard). If you are looking for a list of the top wordpress plugins that will help you promote, manage, and effectively communicate the content on your blog, then you are in the right place my friend.
There are some plugins that you need for the search engines. There are some you need for marketing, promotion, and backlinking. And there are some that you need for content syndication. Here are the best plugins that I have found. I believe this is a list of the basic plugins that you need (of course you can use whatever you want and customize your blog the way that you feel is best). This list will be a lifesaver for you if you are just starting out in your online blogging venture.
1. Akismet (FREE)
This plugin will protect your blog from comment and trackback spam. Believe me, you need this. If you don’t have this plugin installed on your wordpress blog, you will have hundreds or thousands of comments and trackbacks on your posts that you will have to go into your dashboard and delete manually. Get this plugin. It’s free.
2. All In One SEO Pack (FREE)
This plugin will allow you to optimize each of your posts for SEO. For each post you write, you will need to fill in a title, description, and keyword tags. This plugin makes it super easy to optimize your blog for the search engines.
3. Google XML Sitemaps (FREE)
I’m not a tech guy and I don’t understand all the tech stuff. But get this plugin. It helps the search engines to better index your blog posts.
4. Sharebar (FREE)
There are tons of plugins you can choose from for social media interaction and sharing. This one is my favorite. You can see an example of this plugin on the left side of this post. Notice that it scrolls with you when you scroll down my page. You can customize this plugin.
5. Fast Secure Contact Form (FREE)
This plugin allows you to put a contact form on your website. This is super easy to use. I tried a couple other ones and couldn’t figure out how to get them to work, but this plugin is easy to use. An example of this form is on http://thebizboost.com/contact .
6. W3 Total Cache (FREE)
This plugin will make your blog to perform better and load faster. You definitely need this plugin, especially if you are using shared hosting (you most likely are).
7. WP Syndicator (PAID)
This plugin is awesome. It will put your blog promotion tasks on steroids. Basically what it does is automatically syndicate your content to 13 different web 2.0 / social media sites. This means that for every post you write, you will get automatic backlinks and social media shares for your blog. This think boosted my blog stats from the first day I started using it. Super cheap too. Check it out.
