I am by no means an SEO expert. But I have learned some pretty powerful things about blogging during the last year. I did not start out blogging because I liked the idea of blogging (LOL). I started out blogging because I learned that it is one of the most powerful ways to generate income online. I really could care less about all the details behind Google’s algorithms and crazy scientific ways of ranking content. I just wanted to learn the things that are going to get my content seen by people (a lot of people).
I’ve understood the theory behind getting your website to the top of Google for a few years now. But I never had the knowledge of what tools and specific strategies to use to actually make the theory work. But recently, after working with some pretty knowledgeable people in the internet marketing field (guys that are making 10K / mo +), I started to learn what the big guys are using to generate massive amounts of traffic from Google.
Note: In the next few weeks I will be releasing a 6 or 7 day traffic generation series where I will be showing you exactly what tools I use and how I use them to get page 1 rankings. Just put your email address in the form on the right and you will be notified when I start to give away this free info…
There are two very important things that you want to do in order to get your blog posts ranked on page 1 of Google.
- Content Syndication – This is a process that Google places very high value on. Content syndication is where other websites are syndicating your exact content onto their website. For example, if 200 websites have syndicated your content, then that means they have just copied and pasted your article into their site (with a link back to your original piece of content).
- Backlinks – The other thing that Google looks at is relevant backlinks pointing to your site. This is the same thing that happens with content syndication, except Google views this a little differently. Let’s say you post a new blog post. Then another blogger online finds your content, and decides to write their own blog post referencing yours with a link to your content. This is a regular backlink (not considered content syndication). The other blogger did not syndicate your content, they just linked to your content.
I hope this helps you in your quest for top page rankings with Mr. G. In the next few weeks I will be sharing some ways that I get my content syndicated as well as how I get backlinks.
